I removed a lot of fennel plants as they had grown in the wrong place - but I like this one!

Is Fennel Hardy ?

It is in my garden! It flowers and then if I don't cut off every head, the seeds germinate and WHAT a palaver getting them out! They are very deep rooted plants.

Very nice Spritz. Have you ever grown the bronze fennel ?

Yes, there was some in the top border - but yet again, in the wrong place, right in with the Stipa gigantea and ruining the lovely shape of the grass. It is a TERRIBLE job getting it out - a pick-axe and heave job! I still have to be vigilant and remove seedlings from all round the garden of both kinds. I am always finding them.
