These are crocosmia. Supposedly perennials, but the few that came back were demolished by the bunnies. I think we were supposed to mulch them heavily but didn't..
We planted a red variety last year (bulbs, if you can call them that), and they actually came back. Hopefully they'll bloom this year, IF the bunnies don't get them again. We just can't put *everything* in the back yard...

They look slightly different from my crocosmia...that's why I asked...foliage is similar...mine are five petalled with a lip..same nice red...the flower raceme is different too. take a peek at my pic..you'll see what I mean. Love the blossoms, in shape they look like dogtooth violets. Bunnies haven't bothered mine, thankfully, but for some reason the bulbs in the same bed didn't do well...Menton tulips and only one bloomed. I got my crocosmia corms and acidanthera corms mixed together...the acidanthera I take up and store the crocosmia I was told I could leave in the ground... planted them near one another and when I dug up the acidanthera I got some croc's in with them...nice surprise the next spring when they came up together...the crocs' bloomed first however...lol.
