Golden rod and Hoverflies

I love this, it's so bright. Is this hardy Holly? I'd love some for my garden as I love yellow. Does it change colour in the autumn?

Wonderful gold, it looks very happy. Hopefully well contained. :-)

Busybee26... yes it is a fully hardy perennial .....i cut it down in the spring when just the sticks are left on it.....then it comes back again.... it doesnt change colour....
