I am hoping this is clearer picture. To help with sizeing i used a penny. Any ideas what they are ? will it effect the compost ?

The penny helps to give an idea of size, but the white whatnots are still out of focus - and so is the penny. The size is right for fruit fly larvae. I wouldn't worry about them Snake. They're all part of the cycle of life and breakdown of unwanted stuff to become useful again.
