My favourite winter flowering plant. Last year this particular plant flowered for about 10 weeks starting in the first week of January.

wow, I've been after a winter flowering plant. Tell me a little about this one. Would I be able to buy here I wonder. Considering this is such a warm country we don't have lovely gardens or a large variety of plants. But things are getting better. I'm having a lot of my plants shipped in from the UK (and it's cheaper sometimes too)

Hellebores flower from December to February in the UK. They retain their leaves all year around. I'm not sure how it would cope with a hot climate though

Thanks. Will look into it and let you know if I manage to get one or not.
