Great way of dealing with that radical slope! Look forward to seeing the planting!

Hi Karensusan63
Yes, it was a problem working with that slope. Actually the patio came out quite a lot more sloped than expected. Not so good for a dinner party.
Have done some planting already, but don't have a photo yet! Tenants are in now so more difficult to continue as we would wish.
Have put in hundreds of spring/summer bulbs (mainly pink/purple/blue/white theme), hardy geraniums (white flushed pink and pink), lychnis coronaria (crimson), crocosmia, phlomis russeliana, hemerocallis, golden rod and raspberry canes, a variegated euonymus - basically anything from our own garden that we had too much of! These were planted on right and left borders in the rear garden and also in a bed in the front garden. Have planted up the slope just behind the patio retaining wall with dianthus, saxifrages, dwarf euphorbias and a number of other low growing rockery plants that I can't remember the names of now! We have put in a blue clematis on the left border fence growing up wires.
Fingers crossed it all grows up well. Lawn planned soon!

Sounds lovely, the tenants will enjoy no doubt!
