What kind of frog is this?

Afraid I dont know Lauram. I found it in my pond, I lifted it out to get a good look at it as I have never seen one this colour before. I put him back in the pond after but never saw him much after that. He was a lovely yellow !!

My first thought was that he (or she?) was perhaps an albino (I think the correct term for reptiles and amphibians is leucistic).....it happens with turtles, snakes and frogs too! He looks a little out of place! You would expect to see something like that in a rainforest!

sure is lin, its sad when you find them dying, thats happened a couple of times in my garden, i read once that out of 500 tadpoles that only 5 will grow to be adult frogs,

I think they are cute, I love to watch them hopping everywhere. I've got a little frog house that I put Under the alpine conifers for protection for them and they go in it too.

Good idea, I'll take a piccy of mine tomorrow(as it is now 9.45pm) so you can see what its like. I paint it every couple of years with Ronseal wood paint. Its got a varnish in it aswell so it does 2 jobs in one. Its very good for the garden funiture aswell. We do (or rather I do) as hubby is not that keen on painting, the furniture and the shed door and its surprising how well it keeps them. It must be at least 4 years ago we did our shed door and its still as good as when we done it.......right ! thats my bit of sales talk done for now !!!!!! ( Lol)
