It is that climbing rose Veilchenblau it has grown really well, have had to tie it in several times it is half way across to the other side now. Looking forward to seeing it again next summer.

Oh yes, well that explains it...it grows really fast and it is almost evergreen in a mild winter! Good choice! The climbing 'Ginger Syllabub' that I put by the metal arch has turned out to be a totally different rose...could be summer song..which is lovely...but probably not going to climb..so now I'll have to try again!
