It is a nice tree Cinders but it takes a lot to clean all the leafs up, husband collected sack fulls this morning, its turning very quickly, council will only allow 15% to be cut so to be honest it really does;nt show, we have had it done twice at £250 each time, Oh by the way, the liver from river cottage was beautiful.

Well you can't keep on spending that sort of money can you.
Glad you enjoyed the liver. I watched the programme last night and saw what he did so I shall be having a go at that too.

its far to big Homebird, my husband has been out collecting leafs again, he made me laugh, he said people stop and say how beautiful our tree is but none of them offer to help pick the leafs up.

You would think they would allow you to pleach it Yorkshire..after all its what the council do here to the street trees. I have every sympathy with your OH, we have two trees across the street (the street is lined one side with trees), one is upwind and one downwind and we have a wide open drive which err..conveniently?...collects the falling leaves from one or tother!!

we have already paid £500 Tet to have some of it cut back, the council will only allow 10% to be cut off, my argument is if the council put a preservation order on the trees then they should maintain them, but it doesn't work like that. thanks Paul.
