Very pretty variety!

Thanks Grammazoo. I have another one similar to this one; the one in the pot you like, it has much better definition with it's stripes. But this one blooms like crazy :) It's leaves are huge and it has these long roots that dangle down. It's growing sideways, towards the light... so I have it propped up. I went to turn it the other day and it nearly tipped over. I quickly turned it back and left it alone.

You do really well with them; I am a little intimidated by their level of care needed.

To tell you the truth Grammazoo, the Phalaenopsis orchids are very easy to care for. They always rebloom for me. The one thing orchids hate is to get their "feet" wet. Don't let their roots stand in water, they will rot. Do this by: Planting in the appropriate size bark for your orchid. Use a pot with good air circulation. Use a saucer with pebbles (have water just below the pebbles surface) in it, or not. I generally don't do this, but have heard others recommend it. This way your orchid can have the humidity it likes with out it's roots sitting in water. They also like bright indirect light. Get one. I think that you'll enjoy it. They're not very expensive nowadays. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I've got one that's been in bloom since February :) Another type of orchid that I find needs minimal care are the Cimbidiums. We keep ours outside all year round, but our weather is fairly mild. Sometimes we'll get some frost, but no snow.
