i have persicaria red dragon barbara, the leaves look a similar shape so could be from that family, love the pink flowers.

Yes, it does look like the persicaria family doesn't it. I'm not fond, but I do have that one with the alien faces! It has never flowered. I love the wild ones you get beside streams up here, really big plants about 5 feet high and really architectural.
