Thank you so much. It has really been a fantastic summer and the garden shows it. I planted some trees and shrubs to block up the road, then it really will be tranquil. :-) I think the garden is breathing relief now the hot day has passed.

Thank you Lori. The light is what caught my eye to take these. I used a focus on colored foliage or all season color this year, and it really made things look amazing. Great color trick.

Yes that's a great strategy when you live where the growing season is short! I like foliage as much as blossom and in some notable cases even moreso... for example, I love the blossom of the callas...but their leaves are just fantastic too! Your porch brims with life and colour and it's so welcoming.

Must squeeze out every drop of season around here....lol. The little greenhouse gives me a great boost for starting more seed and getting stronger plants at the start. Thanks again. :-)

I bought a kit for a little greenhouse (polyshed) when I lived in the north...Had a tabby cat who loved to sleep on the main shelf among my plants...cats seem to find all the warm spots. It was really a help to get things started in the chancy early spring months...have you seen any "wall of water teepees?"
I used those for my tomato plants..they really work well storing solar energy in the water and still letting the light get to the plant inside the teepee...you might want to check them out to use for some of your perennials..(I did, and they worked well with them too.)

Check out Gardener's Supply, Gt. Mine were see through but I gather there are new ones which are red which hold the heat better.
