A lovely Geranium with shiny, almost glossy leaves and flowers to match. Forms manageable clumps and will flower on and off throughout the summer. Can seed about a bit as well.

All my herbaceous plants grow in raised borders (ex-council house and no decent soil) with peat free compost, grit, and composted manure dug in. The borders are topped with a 3 or 4 inch layer of B&Q playbark. Apart from the great smell of the bark, it is soft so you can really tuck it under plants, and it rots down well into the soil.
Don't give up on the plant: try again and plant one at the front of the border to appreciate the flowers and leaves.
Happy gardening!
