I can't get a good photo of the whole pot - but I hope you can see why I chose the bright pansies - I tried to match the red in the flowers to the Photinia leaves.

Thank you - if you approve, perhaps I haven't made a mistake after all! :-0)

No Barbara , there's no mistake there , I really like those colours together .... :-)

That's nice to know. Thanks!

How lovely, something cheerful to brighten up the dull days ahead. :o)

That's one very good reason to re-plant my containers, Sandra. I've done them all, except for getting primroses for the troughs in the back garden - I couldn't find the right colours as the plants weren't in flower. :-((
Good excuse for another trip to the GC, though! LOL.

You never need an excuse for a visit to the garden centre. I work in one and try my best to stay away from the plant area or I`d end up spending all my wages there...lol!

Ah! I hope you don't mind if I pick your brains, then. Have you got any of those pretty 'shaded' primroses in your GC, or do they come in after Christmas?
(Don't go and look if you might get tempted, though! lol)

They certainly are Barbara ! I'm hoping to get the time to make up another pot with mine tomorrow ... :o)

Please take a photo when you've done it! :-))

Spritz its so pretty the way the photinia is meandering thru the pansies, and the colour match is ideal.

Thank you. :-))) Why do I doubt myself sometimes???? Do you all do that, as well?
28 Oct, 2010
agree with everyone, perfect match and as you have read me complain before, photinia is not an easy plant to partner! Don't doubt yourself Spritz.....ever....your combining is always wonderful and I have taken inspiration from some of your combos this year!

Oh, thank you, Karen. That's a lovely thing to say, and I'm pleased to hear that you've chosen similar combinations. :-)))
