I love this rose, it's flowers are the color of the sunset, or sunrise.

I've found it depends on how dry your soil is and how much direct sun your plants get. Some of mine drain within a day as well, and when I've changed the soil or tilled it to plant something else I found the top layer wet, but not the middle. That may be why so many of my plants died. So now I water with a watering can and use the globes as deep-pot watering...some of my globes can last up to 2 or 3 days, but not the week the ads mention. You might also have a micro-climate, as I do on my balcony. It was downright chilly today outside but on mybalcony, with direct sunlight, it was still a toasty 90 F (almost 30 C).

Well, mine was in a Bamboo Palm (Chamaedorea seifrizii) on a shaded patio, but the temps were more like 110 F (a little over 43 C)!

Well, that's how it was in July-August and part of September....just horrible. So I sympathize.

How do you get those glass bulbs to work, Raquel? Mine kept draining out within a day--not much use for long term watering!
