mushrooms

Are they edible they look nice,but i know looks can be deceiving with these .

Thanks, I thought they were pretty also, but I know nothing about fungi. I've always considered taking an identification course, but it can be so easy to mess up and kill yourself or somebody else!

Yes I think the same as you Lauram, they are very pretty but besides that is it worth taking a chance when we're not really sure, we would never forgive ourselves if the worst happened would we? I think I'd rather leave it to the experts..........

I think I might have a mushroom intolerance, anyway...a few years ago I found a recipe for wild mushroom soup. I went to Whole Foods and spent $50 on mushrooms, the sort I could never afford, but I wanted to splurge. So I made the soup, it was wonderful, I had just one bowl. Within an hour I was vomiting and I vomited for the next 12 hours! The mushrooms were the only thing I'd eaten. I'll stick with the cheap ones from now on!
