Alocasias and Jacarandas...need that light

The seeds for the Jacs were a gift from a California gardening friend...I kept them in an envelope until the weather was sufficiently hot in the summer that I could plant them outdoors without worry. The germination rate was about 80%! They grew very quickly and I brought them indoors in early Sept. They don't demand a lot of water and seem to like it a little on the dry side...which is ok because indoor air is dry (heated) and the light is not as bright as they would get outdoors...I have them under a growlite. I plan to experiment with bonsai techniques..and hopefully there is a greenhouse in my future! It seems like it's doomed to failure but I plan to give it my best shot. I really appreciated the gift.
The Alocasias I bought at the grocery store! Eddoes are sold here so I bought two small roots/corms and found some larger specimens at the Ottawa Walmart seasonal department! They are presently in my front window where they love to bask but it's going to be a challenge to move them.
