These should be planted in early spring with their noses just at the surface. They are just about hardy in sheltered places so you would need to keep your tubs in a sheltered spot during winter. They also prefer not to be disturbed so consider growing other things that will not need regular replanting if they share the same container

I have two left out of the dozen I planted 5 years ago - they don't get enough of a sun-bathe, and I know they need that!
