It is pretty but very very cold and I was putting in the last of the roses this morning! Now what do I do!? Hope they are ok, think I will dig them into a spot in the wood til it has gone away.

I put mine in the bag, sealed, in the shed last year and they were fine. Just make sure the roots are not dry and then reseal and leave them there. Alternatively, you could buy a bag of good compost and stick them in that in the shed.

Hywel: think it is because the trees are bare and then the snow settles on the branches and gives it that Nania look, just in the eye of the beholder Hywel, I love to see it, hate the cold and feel a bit like a recluse when it is here. It is because I cannot get out and about, they never clear the roads and I am scared of driving in it. Far too slippery and slidey for me, had to go out in it to pick up my car from the garage (after its service) it was scary, even the dual carriageway outside our house down to just one lane - why do we pay taxes to the Council I want to know.
Good idea Karen will try and get out there tomorrow and do that with the bushes, they are very good strong plants, hopefully they will be ok, got 6 of them in the ground but it was cold digging and I gave up on that idea to do it today ah the best laid plans eh!!

Oh :o( I drove 15 miles in a thick bilzard at night last year in order to get home lol - That was enough. I followed in the rutts of the car in front, but when he stopped I was on my own. It was frightening, especially on these country roads :o((
"Please go away !!! - NOW !!" ..... lol
