My thoughts, those poor poor roses I did manage to get planted, they haven't seen daylight since they were planted.

I think they will be absolutely fine though. :)

Hope so! the snow will be keeping them warm.

Next year we won't neglect the autumn pruning of the roses will we?

Definitely not, I now wish I had cleared my borders instead of experimenting to see if it makes a difference, but eh maybe the plants have had more shelter from the overgrown and left on leaves.

That could well be true. I only got about a third of the borders clear, but it will be interesting to see which bits fare best. Mind you, knowing me, as soon as this has gone I'll be out there picking up soggy leaves!
