This photo is a day later to the first one. We had seen the spider and wanted to photograph it. after collecting the camera we discovered that it have caught the first spider. It took more than two hours to finish feeding. Of interest was the method that the spider used to reposition the butterfly to change the potion of eating from it. The following morning we wanted to see if the spider was still in the same location and discovered it with it's second meal. So this is now the lethal lavender patch - for butterflies that is. Interesting we saw another 3 species of spider on the same bush. Eat or be eaten!
