Thanks girls..this I saw at Biddulph Grange and took a pic..liked it so much I have bought it to go on my gazebo...bit of a thug but not very thorny..so should be good!

Noooo Lol! It was the way I wrote it...but actually you are not far wrong! I will be putting some scented roses on my gazebo, altho this particular one, Banksia is not scented..I dont think anyway.

Oh what a trip down memory lane this is! I fell in love with this beautiful rose YEARS ago at a garden show but could never find it on sale anywhere so never did get one. I was also deterred by the fact that this area is just not good for roses but seeing as you call it a thug then just maybe it might do well here.....:o))

Well its thriving at Biddulph in Staffordshire, go to Places to Visit Lily, its way up to second floor of the mansion house, or try tags for Biddulph.
