its hard to see from this picture but there is a quince tree and an apple tree on the raised bit on the foreground. Its very dry and ive planted rockery type plants and put down some small gravel..but id like more interest all year..to the left of this (out of picture) is the house, so it looks on this section. To the right is an office and a patio with vines on a trellis. The buildings in the backgrounds are old farm buildings

You need tap root plants if dry conditions Yucca is one also a solar powered water feature would go well there too.
