Having seen the beautiful alstroemeria on Erkabobbys members page I have taken a look at these lovely plants in more detail. This one given to me by a friend, from her own garden, spread very quickly, and is almost a weed, it is so invasive. Its value as a cut flower because it lasts so long in water has delighted me and I found a web site which recommends growing them in pots which is very tempting.

Thank you Erkabobby,
I don't think I have any closer photos at the moment but will do when they flower August time. I have had a look and you may well be right. It looks very like the one I have. I should be more grateful for gifts when I see the cost of the seed.

Hello Scotsgran,
I think this alstroemera is the aurentiaca. (yellow) It's a very invasive variety. But I can't see very good the details of the blooms on this photo.
Try to send a photo with a close-up of one of the blooms and I will try identification.
Regards
Erkabobby
