Stripes

we did the rescue thing for a smashing little cat which was reclaimed after a few days, good ending.
Stripes is a fine cat, love his "I'm going to get close when I'm ready" look.
ps: damn fine sofa btw, no wonder he's chosen you !!

It's very comfortable, Bampy, & I got it on sale at Pier 1 for $100 last summer. Stripes loves it! He has a rival, though, a huge orange tabby. I kept hearing cats screaming and fighting from my crawl space (right under my bedroom) but I could never find the second cat. One morning I marched outside with a flashlight and found the intruder. He disappeared for a while but comes back every other week or so & he and Stripes really go at it. If I could calm Stripes down I could get him indoors, but if he remains feral or semi-feral there's a possibility that I can get him into an indoor feral cat sanctuary in Alabama. I really don't like him being outside because of all the predators and the loose dogs, but he stays either in the crawl space or on the front porch. Once in a while I see him lounging in the sun on the driveway. He doesn't appear to ever leave the property. I suspect he was dumped here.
