I just prick them out and keep them on a bright windowsill Sticki. Once they have some good growth I'll pinch out the tip. Seems to work.....

bright windowsill is the problem here ~ or lack of! think i may have to construct some kind of shelf so i can put plants high enough to be by the window in spare bedroom ~ window sill is a very useless 2" wide!

Folding trestle table maybe if it's the spare room?

not enough room. the windows are a little higher than that too ~ i have a cupboard underneath so i was thinking to put a shelf on that ~ the room is sort of built into the roof. the windows have to fit into small recesses ~ only about 3'6" wide ~ appx.

I can see your problem there Sticki! Shelf is the thing! These sweet peas are an amazing colour meanie! Hope they continue to thrive. No signs of germination of any of my seeds yet I'm sad to say, and it's about two weeks now :( perhaps not warm enough in the conservatory...time will tell.

Plants of Distinction Karen (and that's your fault!).
I'll stick up the photos of my Plumbago seedlings in a while.

Do you know meanie, after reading this, I went to check my pots and managed to knock the whole tray of hardy geranium seeds right on the floor, all upside down! aaaargh! ...oh well, never mind!

never seen them that blue before ~ they should look spectacular!
your seedlings look very healthy! thats the part when i get stuck, if i get them to germinate as well as you im then not sure how to get them to be strong plants and stop them growing too tall?
