Look at that lovely sky...blue sky....haven't seen any of that for a while! Sorry, I just can't stop myself moaning about our dreadful weather just now...it's the time of year..I'll be in a better mood soon ;))

I love magnolias Magnoliamad, I have one - Yellow River which I had bought for me last year by my daughter, it hasn't flowered yet, but its got a lot of buds on it this year, but I'm not sure if they are flower buds or leaf buds. I suppose I will just have to be patient , and wait and see....

Lin, if they are furry, they are flowers!

Thanks Karen for letting me know, I am getting rather eager to see what its like. One has begun to open very slowly and looks rather yellowy so I am pleased about that, I'll post a photo of it when it opens up properly.

Hi Dawn, I bought a Magnolia Stellata today from a local garden centre. It's only a young one but leafing nicely. How old is yours and do they take long to mature before they flower?
