Cinders. i have cut Hellebores in the past and they always flop in water,do you have the answer to this.

Funny you should say that, I have just noticed that mine are beginning to droop. The only other way is to put the heads in a saucer or small dish I think Brian. I had never tried it before, but I shall have to do that now.

I do that its the safest way.lol
its an interesting thought because the wild ones face over if not down as well, so its not hybrid flowers are to heavy for the stems,most likely some sort of protection from the weather,after all not much else flowers that early in the year.

All beauties Cinders, I use to hold my head down too Bjs agree its the safest way, perhaps its because of the cold weather frosts, snow, protecting its beautiful face.

I especially like the creamy coloured one with red marks :) Ours are starting to grow a bit better now - no flowers yet though
