gorgeous flower, Sandra. it's gotten a little confusing over the last while with the re-naming or categorization of the Schlumbergera (that's what I always thought they were) under the name of the expanded genera..into Epiphyllum and orchid cactus...I just gave up and kept calling them schlumbergera...I have a few which did not flower at christmas as expected but I think that was because of the move. They are daylight sensitive..they will bloom best when allowed to get the exact daylight of late fall/early winter when the nights are lengthening. Equal hours of daylight and dark is best to put them into bloom. They will tolerate night temps down into the 50's...(don't ask me to convert that to Centigrade...) lol. that pink is just amazing...I have one tiny one that looks like Orange ice...

schlumbergia is what i call it too Lori. epiphyllum has much bigger trumpet shaped flowers and strangely enough i will replace this with my orchid cactus soon. i hate the way they keep changing their names confusing enough to begin with.
