Lol he proberbly would of give you a piece when it doubled if he really did , lucky you over here carers are not allowed to accept any thing of who they care for its instants dismisal even if they want you to have it with out you asking.

He has lots of this in his garden Sixpence...I've know this gent for years, he lives quite near by, It was given to me outside working hours and i was wearing civvies....lol....Thats my story anyhow...Our clients buy us Christmas gifts etc....but we wouldnt be permitted to accept money gifts..:>)

I don't blame you Motinot hehe, it was nice of him to give it you, don't think he thought you went on, proberbly gave you knowing you love your plants and his , so he knew you would look after it.

Lol its just a shame as a lot of oaps it makes them feel good to give presents but I understand why as there are people out there that would not be very nice people, it also protects you as when they get old they can get confused and accuse, I do know they do this in oap homes accuse the staff when they are inocent.

I know Sixpence...we have to be very careful...Im lucky in that i have know my clients for a long time, ive been doing this job for 25 years....there are 4 of us in a team, working off a rota system.. we provide support for each other too...I love my work...:>)

How I know lol is my eldest daughter she wanted to work with children and they put her working for the elderly, one use to accuse the staff as trying to poison her, then the next day she would love all the staff, such a shame a youngster has to experience this when first leaving school. Its lovely when you ve known them for years and helping one another.
