The varigated agave was bought from Burford garden centre last weekend. Whilst queing for a cup of coffee Rachel de Thame walked past. The other pots all belong to my wife.

I have 2 agave - I understand they need to be brought in during the winter months?? - the larger one of mine which is similar to yours has suffered in the rain though and has gone a little soggy at the bottom! - do you have any tips? Thanks v much - Leo.

Try to mix in either plenty of grit or perlite in the soil or potting compost. You could also try pot feet to keep it off the ground.
These plants need good free draining soil.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go as I really like these plants and havent seen them around much.
