Its really beautiful, a stunning colour. I think I may have this one in a pot...nope, mine is 'caramel'. They really do have beautiful coloured ones nowadays don't they. Loads of new ones coming out.

I've had Marmalade for a few years now, this was a piece I broke off from the main plant about three years ago, and its settled in really well.

It certainly has! It looks great in that spot on the corner. If I wasn't running out of space I might invest in a few more myself Cinders, but everything is getting a bit squashed up here already!

I know the feeling

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a dedicated border full of all the different colours, like a heuchera carpet? Hmmmm alternative lawn perhaps? lol :))

29 Mar, 2011

Well that would be different. I do have a Heuchera bed, but looking a little tatty at the moment. I must get to it and tidy up the plants, then I will put another picture on. There are a few intruders there at the moment too, like a few mini daffs.

Ah, yes, you must take a photo of it! I suppose it wouldn't be very good for walking on if I dug up my lawn...lol!

No I don't think so !!

hee hee. I have thought about chamomile in the past, but to be honest I don't care for the smell of it. Would prefer Thyme, but it gets too woody. I'm a bit 'down' on my grass just now. It's been scarified so I'm hoping it will improve now there's air getting in about it. It hasn't grown at all this year so far, whereas the grass in the front garden, which I've just removed to make my gravel garden...it was growing beautifully!! Typical! ;)

If its any consolation my lawn is looking awful at the moment too. We are not alone on that front I'm sure. Might look better once I can get it mown, but rain forecast now.

I only had one heuchera and it died in the winter :( I'm glad yours gave survived :o)

Thanks Hywel, I have rather a lot and they have mostly survived, but a couple I had in pots have struggled, and one got vine weevil in the pot which ate the roots, so lost that one.

30 Mar, 2011

I hate vine weevils. I found one in the house the other day. I felt as if I was being invaded ! lol

I know, they are a pain.
