Thanks Annie and Michaella. San, I had to give the grass a really tough scarify. It was full of slime and thatch. Unfortunately it is also badly infested by Couch Grass which is impossible to get rid of without taking up the whole lot, and just makes bare patches all over it. :((( I do my best, but it's a never ending battle.

Certainlly looking good, I really must do the first grass cut soon.

my battle is dandylions karen as apparently our neighours use to grow them for wine :o( so every year im fighting them, fingers are crossed for this year in hope i dont get so many.

Thank you so much DD. I am really enjoying it already. There is a lovely feeling when you walk beside the trees near the pathway, a feeling of them growing and having a physical presence beside you that wasn't there when they were first planted. I just love being amongst trees. Well, I guess that's pretty obvious from the way I've planted my garden!

I know what you mean.....I was looking at the Japanese Rowan, and OH said not more trees? you cannot have too many Trees and too many Clems....up to 40 now....I blame you lol
