I saw these really smart cane mate bamboo cane joiners in Focus at the weekend. According to the graphic on the basket hanging off the bamboo cane stand you can use these for making tripods, fruit cages and pean and bean runs. I've only made a small plant support so far but it was really easy to put together, the canes just slide in and are gripped really well. It looks like it is made from a rubbery plastic which can stretch to fit different size canes. I'll attempt a fruit cage at the weekend. What a really smart little product!
