Rainflower

Very pretty does it have another name? - when I googled it up came lillies

Is this one of those amazing plants that appear from nowhere after torrential rain ?

It is a cactus, and flowers normally a few days before we get rain. (so not too often) Flowers last a day only, but are the size of a mans head!

I'll put a picture of one single flower close up on, sometime soon!
