its really lovely, even the widening seems to have left it looking entirely natural.
is there anything living in the stream?

Thanks Sandra, Bernie, Karen and Sticki...I'm really enjoying myself but feeling my age...my trusty spade is getting a workout too! They tell me that there are brook trout farther down stream ... I have a couple of perfect spawning spots for trout...(a gravelly stream bed with a steady current)and also some bottom feeders called "suckers"...they look like a catfish, and taste like a swamp! Yuck..haven't seen any amphibians yet...hoping for a few little frogs and toads... found out from a neighbour that the mess in my yard that I thought was made by foxes digging up moles ..is actually the result of his pigs getting out thro the fence! lol....Do I love it here, or what?????
