Pansies still doing fantastic ,look as though they still have a few more weeks.pity they wont go on all summer it would save me having to put in summer bedding.which is probably one of my least favorite jobs in the garden

Saw on gardeners world a few years ago, that if you cut them back, they will flower again. I have tried this, but think I was a bit too enthusiastic with the cutting back ,so they didn't do too well !
They never fail to make me smile , gorgeous !

Up here, they will go on all the way through if you are lucky! I agree, not keen on bedding, especially the work involved!

You are right Sixpence, they can go on for a long time doing this, but they usually begin to go leggy after a while anyway,.. that's when I have tried to trim them back a bit..think it's much easier just to replace them with something else ! Not really worth the effort :)
