My new Monatana clematis, "Tetrarose"

I like the leaves on this one, very diff from my other clematis. Does yours have a scent? I read that they are supposed to be almond scented. Mine has a faint scent, but it didn't remind me of almonds. Do you prune yours back after it flowers HB? I was thinking about putting mine in a spot where it gets morning sun, is this a good idea? Have it climb the rail to the stairs on the deck. Exciting, I think it'll be beautiful :)
