I killed mine, what's the trick?

I nearly killed mine a few years ago by dividing it into 4 pieces and it didnt like it at all, and has struggled a bit since then. No flowers last year, and some of the leaves are gone all corrugated and some died off, but it has put up these flowers this year. I dont really do anything much to it, just give it a drink occasionally and mist it. I water my streps now with quarter strength tomato food and occasionally give a little to my orchids.

Yes, I think I shall have to repot it after flowering this year.
