Slugs have found them already.

I am determined to wage war on the slugs this year Bornagain. I have put gravel and slug pellets on top of the soil and also a lot of lp coins! They are probably made of something other than copper these days, but thought it worth a try.

I found some sticky backed copper when clearing the loft. I bought it years ago for making stained glass (never got round to it lol) but I have cut the bottom out of hosta pots and stuck a strip or three around near top of pot, then planted them..no damage yet. Also done same on pots not being planted (not cut bottom off). I'm sure it wasn't very expensive when I bought it and there's yards and yards of it so could do loads more pots:-)
