Casting a watchful eye!

Yes, he doesn't want me to get too close to him! I still can't touch him and he's been living near the house since last September. He's funny though, he must know when I'm up and running in the morning because if I peep out the front door he's always sitting right in front of it waiting for a can of food. If I don't give it to him right away he keeps making these funny little squeaks until he's fed.

He is one of the lucky ones Lauram.

He showed up the day after Tiger died and for 2 days I would see him just sitting on Tiger's grave. It was very strange.

He must've known Tiger for him to do that Laura, he was actually mourning. I asked the vet about this when one of our cats died, the other went seaching all round the house and sat in the same spot waiting for his pal, of 13 years to return, he just howled and howled for weeks, it was very sad! The vet said to leave him alone to grieve, he would deal with it in his own time.

He never knew Tiger, Tiger was an indoor cat. I think Tiger sent him to me, though. And today I was pulling weeds near Tiger's grave and guess what I found? a little fern, just one frond, struggling out from under the grave marker. I didn't plant it there so I'm curious to find out what it might be!! Sort of looks like the New York fern that's several feet away. I will have to wait and see!
Your poor cat, he must have been so sad. I was worried about Tabby after Tiger passed since they were the best of friends. Tiger died overnight at the vet's, & when I brought him home the next morning I made sure that Tabby saw and sniffed him so she'd know he was dead. She changed after that, became much more affectionate to me.

Oh Lauram my heart goes out to you. The things we have to go through as animal lovers,....still worth it though, for all they give us.

That's nice Lauram, it'll be good to watch the little fern grow. Since you don't know what it is at the moment, you can always call it a "Tiger" fern, until you find out it's real name!
