That is a delight.

I found it at the Nursery where I met Flori on Tuesday. She said walk away from it and then have a think. The think didn't take long! ;-)

Gorgeous isn't it? Love it. It reminds me a tiny bit of my pyracanthus 'sparkler' which suffered a bit in the winter, but is now growing new leaves. Tiny variegated ones. This is nicer though...Cotoneasters are nicer than Pyracanthas generally I feel.

This has an upright habit, but the label shows a pendulous plant. I'm wondering if it'll do that, or stay standing tall! I don't actually mind as long as it's hardy. :-)

Ah now, with exburiensis, it starts off very upright but at about 2m starts to spread out madly....perhaps that's the way of cotoneaster. Lovely! What is the ultimate height of this var B? btw, I saw your lovely pink daphne today in the GC ...didn't get it. Do you recall giving me the link to that website with all the info about Daphnes when my Aureomarginata was dying....put me right off! They are very very demanding aren't they.

We bought one last year but I'm not sure it survived the winter here in the Seattle area. The only leaves left on the shrub are at the bottom 1/4 of the branches. The top 3/4 is missing all the leaves and parts are very woody. It was sooo beautiful last year! What happened? Any ideas? Will it come back? I also let it grow to the ground...perhaps it's best to keep pruned above ground length?

Eeek! I don't know the answers, Swramsay - as the plant is so new, I'll have to wait and see...sorry.
