Our common blue is out, this is very sweet.

Another pretty Centaurea. So easy to grow on clay.

Is it as invasive as the common blue?

Vincent is so right, these go mad in clay. They actually get too big for my garden, which is a shame as I love them!

I don't think it would really work in my scheme B, but thank you very much indeed for the offer. I have learned over the years that it is not worth trying to grow too many herb.perenns. as I need a lot of evergreen in my garden to get all year round interest, and of course, it's not very big.
