You're wrong. I'VE Had this passion fruit vine for 6 years now, and we eat the fruit. The flowers look like this for a short time and then change color. I've never seen passionfruit vine do this either, but this one does....

Perhaps... All I know is that it produces passion fruit just like the regular passion fruit vine covering my porch. :)
