Viola 'Roscastle Black'

Actually darker and slightly redder than in this photo. I just couldn't resist this scented viola yersterday, in spite of all my reservations about black flowers! Violas are just so great at the front of my borders, and this one echoes the colour of my dwarf bearded Iris 'CHerry Garden' which is beside it.

I love Violas too. They just keep on flowering and giving up gardeners such pleasure.

I love them for the front of my borders...they flower all summer and they are so pretty and the scented ones....well, if you can get down that low to sniff them.....that' a boon!
