Removing thatch in grass.

This lawn is only two year old as as you can see full of thatch. Reason why this lawn is in such poor health is due to bad drainage and very little topsoil also, this new turf was laid on chalk and flint. The minimum soil depth must be 100mm to help establishment of grass roots with nutriants added before laying turf or seeding.

I agree Ustwo good lawn preparation does pay off. All your hard work will be reward though.

I have exactly the same problem us two....on a much smaller scale!
