jasmine and passion flower

You seem to have growth at each base? if that is so then they are not dead.Looks like a weed at the front.

not being very good with flowers i always seem to kill them lol not sure if it was weeds or life as u look at the pic the jasmine is on the left the passionflower on the right only 1 of the 5 pot plants i bought have started to grow

I think you are asking a lot for them to grow like this? they must get very dry and the roots have nowhere to go? Top dress them with compost and feed/water and lets see what you get?

the pots they came in were alot smaller my mum bought me the really big pots and fresh bags of soil and hubby has been using chicken manure and watering them everyday since spring ive just bought some more compost last weekend we also have a canopy above the patio,i also asked the shop if these would be ok for patio use and they said yes they bloomed lovely last summer,was just worried the snow may of killed them off.
