Just look at that Ceanothus! Wonderful! Evening is a lovely time to take photos isn't it. I think I shall try to take some tomorrow evening. It's been really windy again all day here, but tomorrow should be better.

Tog I treat them like rooms, you can't see all of the garden at once because of the L shape and the steep slope. Thanks Karen, I'm glad to say this Ceanothus was untouched by the winter. My Puget Blue has greened up well again now but didn't have many flowers this year, at least it survived.

Well, my Concha is still alive, just! It's hidden away behind the greenhouse against the fence along with the Escallonia Iveyi, which also took a bad hit. Hopefully they will be ok, at least they are growing again!

It looks great. Always wanted a C. Concha :)
Been tempted to get one but worried about winter, thought all of my others were dead but are alive ... just.

Yes, it was a very big one when I bought it, so expensive. Now it is a fragile spindly stick with a few tatty bits at the bottom! :( Moral of the story....don't buy big plants!

Oh Karen, its painful when our expensive plants are almost killed by winter, in my case, its usually the expensive ones that bite the dust, grrr. I suppose the small plants and bigger ones all suffer if they're roots arent established, lets pray for a milder 2011/12 Winter.

Yes, lets all do that! :)

Lovely view. You have so many different areas in your garden, all equally interesting.
