cordyline australis back to life!!

my cordyline australis was completely obliterated by the nasty winter we had so i cut down the trunk from where it was all mushy and gooey to a firm healthy point(lucky for me) and in early spring about a dozen new buds started to appear,i pruned off most and left 4 strong growing ones.this picture shows it in its latest situ.
