Well, in a sort of botanical way it is....they seem to call anything blue that isn't red, white, green or yellow! And Veilchenblau is 'violetblue' ....so.....yup, it's blue! :)))

I know, but it isn't cold like blue, purple or lilac is much warmer.

Yes, some blues are cold and I don't like it in my home for that reason, but cold colours in the garden are great for shady woodland areas and just to 'grab' you, like my avatar does!

Glad you like it Muddywalters, this rose is covered in colour today. We are getting some well requested rain. Think most places are today though.
